Round-the-House Relay 2008

Updates: Race Results on 13/Apr/2008

Today, we conducted our time trials for all 3 teams that BDRC entered for the competition this year.
It was a good run indeed for many of us, even if some of our times are below par.

Actual race route-map on the left is gleaned from Wikimapia. This is the live aerial view of the area coverage around Padang Polo, MacAlister Road, Residency Road.

Also posted here are our race results - for today.

Notes Update (9th, April):
This year the Round-the-House relay is not exactly a BDRC-representative participation as many of the good(fast) runners come from the remnants of Forward Running Club, so we could say that this is a BDRC-Forward combo team, but the banner will be BDRC. When we conducted the time trial last week we had call up the known good runners from last years and we would like to apologize to our own BDRC runners whom we had not notified even though they are avid runners. We were a bit short on time on this notification too, but to remind all our club members, if you think you can do these for the 2.5km distance:
• men: 10.5min or less
• women: 13min or less
we want you in the trials for the coming years. Please come and help the team - some of us may not post fast enough times, but a winning attitude conquers all. W!

This year's sponsorship came from the following:
• Entry Fees: Eddie
• Running Vests (men and women): Prez Ho
• T-shirt (women): LayHooi
• Printing Works: Janet
• F&B: Prez Ho, LayHooi
• Lunch (225 Restaurant, servings estimated for 40 persons): Jordan Lee
• Camera works: MH Niam

We would also like to extend our appreciation for all members who had come and coming again on race day to help out with logistics.
Go BDRC, give your best and bring your WINNING CHARISMA along - and also our essential supporters. Come and Cheer for BDRC!

p/s.
• all runners and BDRC club members are invited for the lunch at 225 Restaurant (adjacent to Penang Sports Club) slated for 11.30am, Sunday (13th April)
• Upcoming dinner (Old & Young Running Club) on 1st of May (Wonderland Restaurant, likely venue). Please book your attendance with Jordan Lee or JC Teoh
